John Vergari, who lives at the Jersey Shore, is an avid poker player and an
individual with many talents with a varied background. At age 90, this is John's
first book.
John served his country as a member of the armed forces in the early fifties.
After the military, John pursued a teaching career by attending New York
University, earning both a BA and MA. While at NYU, John was a member of the
football team. After college, John worked his way through three stints as an
educator, starting in 1950 and ending in retirement in 1988.
Today John spends his time playing golf, as an active participant in his church,
watching his grandchildren grow, and of course, he is part of two poker clubs.
