CRISS CROSS LOW HOLE <strong>WILD</strong> 1. On the initial deal, each player gets three cards, two down and one up. 2. The dealer then lays out five community cards as follows: 3. Playing of the hand proceeds like any other five card stud game. Players will be dealt one more up card and one more down card. Each new card dealt is followed by a round of bets. 4. From this point in the game, players know what their wild card is. It is the lowest card in the hole. If the wild card is matched by any of the players’ up cards or any of the community cards as they are revealed, they are also wild. 5. After the last of the player’s held cards is bet on, the dealer will reveal the community cards one at a time, in random order. A bet follows each new card after it is revealed. 69
6. The players make the best five card hand from their five held cards, and any of the three community cards in either the horizontal row or the vertical row. The community cards a player uses MUST be in the same row. 7. After the last community card is bet on, players show their cards and a winner is declared. NOTE: A variation the dealer may wish to play is to allow players, for a predetermined fee, the option of having their last card dealt up. This option would assure players that their low hole card would not be changed. 70
