Police Officers’ Assistance Fund. The Assistance Fund was created to assist families<br />
of injured or fallen officers, ensuring they have the financial support necessary to<br />
recover and adjust to their new lives.<br />
EVENT: SEPTEMBER 30<br />
The Hometown Heroes Honor Run is one of three events which qualify for the Run<br />
Riverside Challenge. The Run Riverside Challenge includes the Hometown Heroes<br />
Honor Run (09/30/2017) The Mission Inn Run (11/12/2017) and the Citrus<br />
Heritage Run (01/06/2018). Participants who register and complete all three<br />
events consecutively are eligible for bragging rights with their friends… and a<br />
special commemorative metal honoring their achievement.<br />
Over 5000 participants have enjoyed the run over the last 4 years and the 5<br />

Southern California Fair<br />
Prepares For Its 104th Event<br />
The Southern California<br />
Fair has announced<br />
its theme for the 2017<br />
Fair – “Country Roots<br />
and Cowboy Boots”. This<br />
104th annual event at Lake<br />
Perris Fairgrounds opens on<br />
Saturday, Sept. 30, running<br />
through Sunday, Oct. 8.<br />
The nine-day fair will feature concerts,<br />
motorized events, exhibits (4-H and Future<br />
Farmers of America animals in the agriculture<br />
department), entertainment (hypnotist,<br />
magician, local bands, dancers, and<br />
roving entertainers), carnival rides, games,<br />
racing pigs, and fabulous fair food including,<br />
of course, delicious deep fried foods.<br />

This summer at First Baptist Church of<br />
Riverside kids ages 3-years old to sixth<br />
grade are invited to experience the<br />
sights, sounds, smells and tastes of a unique<br />
culture at Passport to Peru VBS, where kids<br />
discover how much God loves the world.<br />
Passport to Peru is an environment filled<br />
with incredible Bible-learning adventures,<br />
cultural experiences, team-building games,<br />
unique treats, and cool faith-building songs<br />
... all amazing standout activities that help<br />
faith grow in real life. (And you might get a<br />
little messy in the process). They will finish<br />
the week with a family dinner and closing<br />
celebration that you won’t want to miss.<br />
The adventure takes place June 26-30th<br />
from 6:30- 8:30pm each night.<br />
