<strong>The</strong> morning was occupied<br />
with the wounded and<br />
the dead, and the fighting<br />
recommenced later in the<br />
consisted <strong>of</strong> 6,000<br />
soldiers. It was<br />
led <strong>by</strong> the famous<br />
day. <strong>The</strong>n the first column Muslim general<br />
<strong>of</strong> the contingent sent from<br />
Syria came into view. <strong>The</strong> Qa' qa bin Amr ~ <br />
army consisted <strong>of</strong> the people<br />
<strong>of</strong> Banu Tamim who were<br />
brave and extremely warlike.<br />
This army consisted <strong>of</strong> 6,000<br />
soldiers. It was led <strong>by</strong> the<br />
famous Muslim general<br />
Qa' qa bin Amr ~ - He was<br />
He was from the<br />
tribe <strong>of</strong> Tamim<br />
and a Companion<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Prophet ~ -"<br />
from the tribe <strong>of</strong> Tamim and a Companion <strong>of</strong> the Prophet<br />
~ - He had participated in the <strong>Battle</strong> <strong>of</strong> Y armiik and had<br />
a reputation for extraordinary bravery. In fact, Umar bin<br />
Al-Khattab ~ had ordered Abu Ubaydah ~ ' the governor<br />
<strong>of</strong> Syria, to divert a section <strong>of</strong> the army <strong>of</strong> Banu Tamim<br />
to Al-<strong>Qadisiyyah</strong> to help the Muslims. So the brave and<br />
experienced young men <strong>of</strong> the Banu Tamim became part<br />
<strong>of</strong> the Islamic army at Al-<strong>Qadisiyyah</strong> in Iraq.<br />
This second day <strong>of</strong> the battle brought good tidings<br />
and successes. <strong>The</strong> fact was that in those days, from the<br />
point <strong>of</strong> view <strong>of</strong> military capability and war strategies,<br />
the Arabs enjoyed superiority over other communities.
