When asked, “Why <strong>Jamaica</strong>?’ Lanna<br />
responded, I have served so many<br />
others including princes, princesses,<br />
governors and even presidents as<br />
well as numerous other brides and<br />
grooms elsewhere in the world. I<br />
think it is time I brought some of<br />
what I have learned and shared<br />
with my fellow islanders.<br />

Early Beginnings<br />
I remember as a young girl, sitting<br />
on the hill most people use to call<br />
“Hopewell Bush,” looking out at<br />
the sea and I would wish I knew<br />
what was beyond the line there.<br />
Little did I know a few short years<br />
later, my life would take a turn for<br />
me to experience way beyond<br />
that horizon. It was while at North<br />
Western Academy and St. James<br />
Business School that I got the<br />
entertaining bug so I went to work<br />
for Village Tour and later became<br />
one of the cover girls for Focus<br />
on <strong>Jamaica</strong>. I learned all about<br />
<strong>Jamaica</strong> taking tourists from one<br />
end of the island to the other;<br />
creating a fantastic experience for<br />

the guests as they experienced what<br />

Exciting<br />
Island Experiences<br />
One of the scariest things I<br />
experienced on my tours was<br />
watching Ross Kannaga jump<br />
across the backs of crocodiles -<br />
mouths wide open. Wow! But I<br />
also experienced the picturesque,<br />
poster card beauty of <strong>Jamaica</strong> from<br />
coast to coast as I took visitors<br />
rafting on the Rio Grande or walking<br />
along the seven miles of our white<br />
sand beaches in Negril. We picked<br />
coffee beans along the hillsides of<br />
