With over 200 designer gowns from
Maggie Sottero, Justin Alexander,
Sophia Tolli, and other top
rated designers, Jamaica’s first
ever Bridal Trunk Show hosted by Bliss Bridal Boutique
was a hit! There was no shortage of variety; from lace
mermaid dresses to beaded ball gowns to elegant
sheath gowns, it was definitely a bridal paradise.
In an effort to ensure that brides had access to the
latest styles, Bliss Bridal Boutique owners Sara and
Brian Stanford flew in Maggie Sottero’s International
Sales Director from the United States, with her entire
2016 collection. Sara said, “We knew it was important
that every bride had her own personal experience just
as if she were in-store. Therefore, each fitting room
was assigned a bridal consultant to assist each client
with her selections and fittings.” The bride’s friends
and family waited outside the room for a view of the
bride-to-be as she fitted each gown. Once a bride
found her gown and said ‘yes to the dress,’ bells rang
and everyone in the room cheered. It was tons of fun.
On September 24 th and 25 th 2016, Bliss Bridal Boutique
will do it again; this time in Montego Bay. They will
host the Montego Bay version in tandem with the
Jamaica Bridal Expo – an event which Bliss Bridal has
sponsored since inception 5 years now. It therefore
made perfect business sense to bring the trunk show
to the expo. Brian Stanford said, “We know a lot of
brides from the western side of the island missed out
on the show in Kingston and we want to ensure that
they have the same experience. So again, we will be
outfitting an entire room with wedding gowns.”

and western brides and can’t wait to help them
‘say yes to the dress.’"
