Aircraft purchasers need
to be careful with the type
of aircraft they are about to
invest in. DC Aviation
provides a credible service
wherein the operator
negotiates a justified price
based on the condition of
the aircraft, and the specific
documentation required,
while ensuring the aircraft is
in its best possible state for
the client’s benefit.
Whether cabins are
bespoke and built from
scratch or re-sold and
configured at a previous
point in time, the
commercial and technical
department is on hand to monitor each and every
aspect. “Anything missed out in the process will
cost the operator and owner very dearly. If the
documentation wasn’t done well, and you have
the aircraft purchased and the regulatory
authorities come up and ask for documents, you
can suddenly be confronted with a huge bill
because a certain part hasn’t been installed. We
send people on site, to the plant, every two to six
weeks to check up on the process – the sheet
metals being welded together or anything that’s
missed out. Once the floor boards and cabins are
on you won’t be able to tell,” he says. When
someone buys an aircraft and management issues
occur, the blame falls on the operator, which is
why it’s important to reach out to credible
organisations in the first place, advises Holger.
With the second hangar, currently on board for
year-end completion, the 6,800 square metre
space will enable DCAF to add two single-aisle
aircraft maintenance bays and provide enough
space for an additional workshop and equipment
storage. It will also significantly increase the
number and size of aircraft that can be
accommodated at the facility. The second hangar
will also be able to accommodate aircrafts up to
the Boeing 767 and provide B1 (airframe) and B2
(avionics) maintenance services for the Falcon 7X,
alongside line maintenance support for customers
operating the Bombardier Global Express,
Challenger 604/605, Airbus 320 family, and the
Global 6000 and Global 5000 Vision Flight Deck
aircraft types.
Currently, DCAF has a total of five aircrafts on
its managed fleet including the Dassault Falcon
7X, two Bombardier Challenger 604, a Global
XRS, and a Global 5000, with popular destinations
being business hubs including Paris, Hong Kong,
London, Pakistan, Delhi, Mumbai, Saudi Arabia
and GCC countries.
