EHF <strong>EURO</strong> 2016 MEDIA INFORMATION<br />

EHF <strong>EURO</strong> MEDIA CALL<br />

The EHF <strong>EURO</strong> will open with a media call in Stockholm. The Presidents of the European and Swedish Handball Federations<br />

will be present as will tournament officials. Media representatives will be able to conduct one to one interviews. Additional<br />

requests should be addressed to JJ Rowland, Head of EHF Media and Communications (rowland@eurohandball.com).<br />

TEAM MEDIA CALLS<br />

Players and coaches from the participating teams will be available for one to one interviews for all international media one<br />

day prior to the preliminary and main rounds. A full schedule will be published before the event. A media call involving the<br />

coaches of the four semi-finalists will also take place on 15 December ahead of the semi-final matches.<br />

EHF MEDIA DAY<br />

The traditional EHF Media Day will be held on Saturday, 17 December 2016. Activities during the day will include:<br />

MEDIA HANDBALL TOURNAMENT (09:00-11:30hrs) – A four-team handball tournament will be played on the main court in the<br />

Scandinavium, Gothenburg. Media representatives will be able to register to play during the EHF <strong>EURO</strong>.<br />

TEAM MEDIA CALLS (12:00-14:00hrs) – Each team (all players and coaching staff) will be available for 30 minutes each.<br />

The event is open to all media representatives and will take place in the Fan Zone in the Scandinavium, Gothenburg.<br />

CLOSING PRESS CONFERENCE (14:30-16:30hrs) – In a change to previous events, the Closing Press Conference will take place on<br />

Saturday. It will be followed by the presentations from the organisers of the Women’s EHF <strong>EURO</strong> 2018 in France and the<br />

Women’s World <strong>Champ</strong>ionship 2017 in Germany as well as the draw for the Women’s World <strong>Champ</strong>ionship 2017 Play-off<br />

Europe. All media representatives are invited to attend and also join the EHF lunch following the event.<br />

ONLINE COVERAGE<br />

Full coverage will be provided on the official website at ehf-euro.com in both English and Swedish. Content will include<br />

news, feature stories, live scores and statistics as well as video reports. Also follow the event on the official app and social<br />

media channels: Facebook (facebook.com/ehfeuro), Twitter (@EHF<strong>EURO</strong> and @EHF_live), Instagram (@EHF<strong>EURO</strong>),<br />

YouTube (youtube.com/ehfeuro) and Snapchat (ehf_live).<br />

LIVE STREAMING<br />

All matches will be available live and on-demand via the EHF’s official online TV platform, ehfTV.com, with geo-blocking<br />

applying in certain countries.<br />

ACCREDITATION<br />

Media accreditations can only be collected from the arrival city selected during the online registration process with a valid<br />

photo ID. Accreditation centres will be open two days before the start of the championship.<br />

MEDIA SERVICES<br />

Extensive media information will be provided throughout the event, including: live match statistics, match previews with<br />

head-to-head statistics and flash quotes. All media information will be available in media centres and via the EHF Media<br />

Portal, register at: bit.ly/ehfmediaportal.<br />
