• THE GAME’S AFOOT! SHERLOCK SCAVENGER HUNT - Thursday,<br />

• JEOPARDY TRIVIA GAME - Saturday, <strong>July</strong> 22 nd , 2-4 PM, Meeting Room.<br />
Participants will be divided into teams, who will compete to correctly<br />

• Mother Goose Time: Tuesdays at 10:15 AM, provides caregiver/infant<br />
activities and songs especially designed for the youngest book-lovers,<br />
from age 1 month to 12 months. This activity will NOT take place on<br />
<strong>July</strong> 4 th , the library will be closed for the holiday.<br />
• Stories & Play: Tuesdays at 2 PM, for children from 1 to 3 years of<br />
age. Children will be treated to a story and then have open play time.<br />

• Toddler Time: Wednesdays at 10:15 AM and Thursdays at 10:15 AM<br />
and 11:30 AM - offers caregiver/child activities, stories and songs for<br />

• Story Time: Wednesdays at 11:30 AM. Age 3-6, where they hear stories,<br />
watch movies and participate in age-appropriate craft activities.<br />
• Pajama Night Story Time: Tuesdays at 7 PM - gives families an evening<br />
option for the activities presented during the daytime. This activity will<br />
NOT take place on <strong>July</strong> 4 th , the library will be closed for the holiday.<br />
• PUBLISH YOUR BOOK FOR FREE! - Saturday, <strong>July</strong> 15 th , 3-4 PM,<br />
Multi-purpose Room. Carolyn Janisé will talk about the basic components<br />
of self-publishing a book, from designing the cover art,<br />
layout and design to editing, printing and distribution. Learn how to<br />
begin the publishing process and about the different methods that<br />
are available. Janise will also discuss costs and technical details.<br />
• ADULT COMPUTER CLASSES: All computer classes will take place<br />
in the Computer Lab. Reservations are required.<br />

Hours, written by Deon Meyer.<br />
• ESL CONVERSATION CIRCLES - Fridays, <strong>July</strong> 14 th and 28 th , 1-2<br />
PM; Multipurpose Room. Fort Bend County Libraries presents a<br />
program for individuals of all nationalities who would like a place<br />
to practice their English language and conversation skills. The “Conversation<br />
Circles” provide an opportunity for non-English-speaking<br />
people to gather in a relaxed setting and discuss topics of their own<br />
choosing while practicing their English skills.<br />
YOUNG ADULT PROGRAMS teens grades 9-12<br />
• YOUNG ADULT BOOK CLUB - Wednesday, <strong>July</strong> 12 th , 3-4 PM,<br />
Conference Classroom. Teen readers will have the opportunity<br />
to meet with others who share the same love for great books and<br />
have a lively discussion on the reasons a book or its characters<br />
were liked or disliked. The book to be discussed is The 7 Habits of<br />
Highly Effective Teens, written by Sean Covey.<br />
• Family Story Time: 1 st Saturday of the month at 10:15 AM.<br />
All ages welcome.<br />
• School-Age Programs: Wednesdays at 2 and 3 PM, crafts, movies and<br />
stories for school-aged children in grades 1 through 5 ONLY. Seating is<br />
limited; students must receive a free hand-stamp up to one hour prior<br />
to the program. These programs are made possible by the generous<br />

in 2016, this Oscar-nominated, animated comedy is about a group<br />
of pampered pets who live lives of leisure in a Manhattan apartment<br />
complex. This movie is rated PG.<br />
• Family Movie Day - Friday, <strong>July</strong> 28 th , 1:30 PM, Meeting Room. In this<br />
2016 animated comedy is adapted from a hugely popular video-game<br />
series about three birds named Red, Chuck and Bomb. This movie is<br />
rated PG.<br />
