KATY ISD SURPASSES ONE MILLION VOLUNTEER HOURS
For the second year in a row, Katy ISD’s Volunteers in Public Schools
(VIPS) program reached an unparalleled milestone by donating an
extraordinary 1,056,073 hours to the district’s students and staff.
Although the number is impressive unto itself, the greater impact
lies in the thousands of personal stories it reflects. Each one of those
million+ hours represent a person who lovingly donated the gift of
time to better the lives of our children.
At the Volunteer Celebration hosted on May 12 th , Katy ISD announced
this year’s hours achievement along with honoring each campus
