Objective
Overview
To develop a definition and scorecard for
making missionary disciples in the local
church.
The conversation seeks to make the mission
tangible and personal. In many ways the
process of this Primer has worked like a
Google map. We started with the map zoomed
out to God’s desire for the world. From there,
we zoomed in a click to the scope of the
mission, then to the nature of God’s Kingdom,
and finally to the specific harvest field that
lies before each of our churches. Now, we are
going to wrestle with the question of how we
go about impacting that specific harvest. The
answer will necessitate the transformation
of the people in our churches. God’s grace,
transforming the identity, affections, and
actions of missionary disciples is the Godordained
means of bringing about lasting
transformation.
