Review and Reflect cont.
Contrast that with Peter—called by Jesus as
a disciple, marked by frequent missteps and
failure, and yet used by Him to establish His
Church. Point to the fact that each man has
his fair share of reasons to feel inadequate,
disqualified, or crushed by suffering. Yet, they
persevered. And through their perseverance,
the gospel saturated the known world of that
day and the church spread to the very ends
of the earth—to you and I reading this Primer
today. Pray for that type of fortitude, passion,
and stick-to-itiveness to mark your group
as they resolve together to run after Gospel
Saturation for the rest of their lives.
Disciple-
Making
Reflection
Ask the group to break into small groups
once again. This time, point them back to
the concluding challenge from last month’s
conversation in which they were asked to
meet with one or two other people to talk
about discipleship. Instruct them to share the
thoughts and insights of others with whom
they met regarding the definition of a disciple
and the systems for disciple-making. What
did they learn? How did this influence their
definition of a disciple? Did they alter anything
about their ideal system for disciple-making as
a result?
