NOBLE RIDERS Richard Jessop Nobles, We would like to start by showing you some of our members and their ladies who stopped for a quick picture prior to the June 25th Membership picnic. As I write this, the Noble Riders helped out at the Rajah Car show earlier today and congratulations to the Car Club. They had an amazing turn out today and put on a fantastic show. By the time you are reading this, the Noble Riders will have just finished participating in the 21st annual Centurions Christmas in July Toy Run to our Shriners Hospitals for Children – Philadelphia. Our focus now is ahead on August 13th for our 2nd annual Poker Run. As a reminder, it is not only for 2- or 3-wheel vehicles, it is also for classic and antique vehicles. It is never too late as you can join up on the 13th at the Complex. Registration starts at 10:00 a.m. and the first group heads out at 11:00 a.m. There will be food, music, cash prizes, 50/50 and a Chinese Auction, and it is a Rain or Shine event, with a cost of $25 for rider, $10 for a passenger. If you don’t want to do the ride, feel free to come by and either enjoy the atmosphere or lend a hand. We are sure that there will be something to do and we know that we would appreciate the support. For further information see nobleridersofthemysticshrine.org One event prior to the Poker Run will be our support of the Honey Companies’ 13th annual car show on August 5th. We, of course, support this event as they are a major supporter of our hospital and all proceeds from this event go directly to the hospital in Philadelphia. After that, we will be heading off for a day at Gettysburg on August 27th, leaving the complex at 8:00 a.m. Although we will be on 2 wheels, anyone is welcome to join in with whatever vehicle they wish. We will park near the Friend to Friend and stop for a photo opportunity and then cross the street to the Dobin restaurant for lunch. If you are interested in attending, please notify Noble President Thomas V. Conlon Sr. PP, as we need to make reservations for the group. There is one other event we wish to let you know about at this point. The Noble Riders will be working with the Rajah Clowns to put on a Lady’s Night catered event on October 7th. More info to come, however, mark your calendar now. The social hour will be 6-7 p.m., dinner 7 p.m. through 9 p.m. The Official Family is invited but it will be casual. The theme is Hawaiian, loud and ugly shirt type Hawaiian. Whatever you and your Lady think will pass for the theme is good with us. We are now at 72 members and would like you to please help us welcome our newest member, Stephen Calles III and his lovely Lady, Susan. Please remember, if you know any Nobles or any Brothers who ride, let them know of us as we are always looking for new members. CEREMONIALS We will now be voting on new Candidates Petitions at each Unit and Club Committees meeting. This will be on the fourth (4th) Wednesday of each month. The Special Meeting will begin at 7:00 p.m. and there may, or may not be, a Mini-Ceremonial to follow. This will be a “Standing Meeting,” but only if we have Petitions to be voted on and this will be the only business conducted at the Special Meeting. 610-916-9000 20
