roofing; 38,000 sq.<br />

metres of floor space,<br />

requiring 15,000 cu.<br />

metres of concrete<br />

and 700 tonnes<br />

of metal structure.<br />

in both the private and the public housing<br />

sectors. the largest of these included: in<br />

the Greater Paris area, the Les Bergeries<br />

neighbourhood programmes at Draveil-<br />

Vigneux (500 dwellings in 199 buildings),<br />

512 rental housing units at Pont-de-<br />

Pierre and 635 housing units at Parc des<br />

Courtillières, Pantin; in Marseilles, the Cœur<br />

Saint-Charles project for Kaufman & Broad.<br />

In Poland, activity was brisk in the private<br />

residential sector, with among others a major<br />

project in progress in the Potok Sluzewiecki<br />

valley, comprising four 15 and 11-floor<br />

buildings, and a €30.4 million contract<br />

for the Melody Park complex in Warsaw.<br />

In Belgium, CFE is building the up-market<br />

programmes on Place Brugmann in Brussels<br />

and the Finis terrae programme at Knokkele-Zoute.<br />

Public facilities<br />

Major infrastructure programmes initiated<br />

by public authorities in France, many of them<br />

in the form of PPP contracts, continued<br />

to support activity levels and generated new<br />

orders. <strong>VINCI</strong> <strong>Construction</strong> France was again<br />

a highly active player in all market segments,<br />

including school building and renovation<br />

(with handover of the Collège Villemandeur<br />

middle school built under a PPP contract<br />

in the Loiret department and reconstruction<br />

to HEQ ® standards of the Collège Anne<br />

Frank in roubaix, etc.); hospitals and health<br />

care facilities (including the d’Estaing<br />

Hospital at Clermont-Ferrand, in central<br />

France, the hospital at Sarreguemines<br />

in eastern France, the La Côte Fleurie<br />

Hospital at Criqueboeuf in northern<br />

France, several retirement homes built
