in the Isère department; the Institut<br />

des Chartreux sports complex in Lyons;<br />

rehabilitation of the Youri Gagarine<br />

water sports stadium at Villejuif, in the<br />

greater Paris area; and work began on the<br />

renovation of the INSEP national sports<br />

training centre in Paris under a PPP contract.<br />

has won PPP contracts for more than<br />

200 projects since 2003 with a combined<br />

Dock reconversion in Le Havre<br />

<strong>VINCI</strong> <strong>Construction</strong> France is converting the former dockland warehouses<br />

in the new urban renewal zone in Le Havre, France, on behalf of <strong>VINCI</strong> Immobilier.<br />

For centuries, most of the coffee arriving in Europe was first stored in these<br />

warehouses. The 66,000 sq. metre Vauban Docks will house around 60 shops<br />

(including a dozen restaurants), a 12-theatre Gaumont cinema multiplex with<br />

2,400 seats, and 1,100 parking spaces. The old support posts have been preserved for<br />

decorative purposes, each being flanked by two new load-bearing pillars. The work,<br />

with a total contract value of €67 million, will be completed at the end of <strong>2008</strong>.<br />

at Northolt, outside London, involving<br />

£106 million (€138.7 million) of work,<br />

and continued to work on the national prison<br />

Also worth noting was the new €25 million<br />

contract for the Medicover Hospital<br />

in Warsaw, Poland, the largest private<br />

hospital ever built in the country.<br />
