Friday Night, September 1st<br />

Billy Mata and The Texas Tradition<br />

Billy started his recording career in the 1970’s singing Billboard<br />

charted, Top 40 Country Music. However in the 1990’s<br />

he declared his passion, what he calls “Real Country Music.”<br />

Beginning with his 1998 (Third) album release, Keepin’ The<br />

Tradition: A Tribute To My Heroes, Billy insisted on recording with his own stage band to properly perform<br />

the music he truly prefers: Real Bob Wills Western Swing and Traditional Country. Billy celebrates<br />

35 years of making music with The Texas Tradition, his own Texas Western Swing Hall Of Fame Band,<br />

and winner of the 2016 Ameripolitan Western Swing Group of the year. The Texas Tradition is a handpicked<br />

collection of professional musicians from a wide area of Texas who are gathered together by their<br />

common interest in Western Swing and the opportunity to play with the best of the best. Three of Mata’s<br />

musicians are now at or past their 20th year with the band. They play like family. Billy Mata and The<br />

Texas Tradition aren’t just another “Human Jukebox” on the stage. When they play, its’ natural and fun.<br />

Saturday Night, September 2nd<br />

Rick Trevino<br />

Rick Trevino, is a Grammy-Award winning Mexican American <strong>County</strong><br />

Music artist. Signed to Columbia Nashville in 1993,Trevino began his<br />

career that year with the release of his debut single, “Just Enough Rope”,<br />

the first mainstream country music single to feature separate English and<br />

Spanish-language versions. The song was included on his debut album Dos Mundos;a self-titled album<br />

followed a year later. Trevino has charted a total of fourteen singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs<br />

charts, including three number one singles: Running Out Of Reason To Run, Learning As You Go and<br />

She Can’t Say I Didn’t Cry. He also has recorded seven studio albums and his latest album Long Coyote<br />

Gone was co-written and self produced in Austin, Texas is sure to be another chart climber.<br />

Sunday Night, September 3rd<br />

Bobby Flores & The Yellow Rose Band<br />

Bobby Flores started his professional career in 1968 at the<br />

age of seven years of age. He started by performing a local<br />

functions and Texas area circuits in a gospel duo with his<br />

Mother Mary Jane Flores. Two years later Bobby began working<br />

nightclubs as a featured single artist with George Chambers & The Country Gentlemen, a wellknown<br />

San Antonio area country band. The next ten years would set the precedence for Bobby’s career.<br />

He formed his first band at the age of thirteen and started opening for national artists such as Marty<br />

Robbins, Johnny Rodriguez, Tanya Tucker and Conway Twitty. By the middle 80’s, Bobby had become a<br />

bandleader, show opener and fiddle player for Johnny Bush and opening for numerous country superstars<br />

including George Strait and Garth Brooks. Bobby played violin/fiddle player for Ray Price through<br />

2001. Playing with Ray Price inspired Bobby to record his debut DC, Just For The Record. Since then he<br />

has release an additional six CD’s. Over the years Bobby has received numerous awards and continuously<br />

gaining recognition as of Texas’ premier musicians and vocalists, both on stage and in the studio.<br />

Bobby can be heard all across Texas playing county dances with his band, The Yellow Rose Band,”<br />

featuring three fiddles and some of the best musicians in the world. Bobby owns, directs and teaches<br />

at his live-performance music academy, the Bulverde Academy of Music. In addition, Bobby’s recording<br />

and production talents have found a permanent home B.A.M. Recording Studios in San Antonio, which<br />

Bobby owns.<br />
