The Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills<br />
hosted the Youth of the Year<br />
Celebration. Three wonderful candidates<br />
were in the running for<br />
this prestigious position: Jasmine<br />
Gray, Francy Rawls, and Anya Sturdivant.<br />
The judges said that it was<br />
a very tough decision. However, at<br />
the end of the evening, Jasmine<br />
Gray was named the 2017 Boys<br />
and Girls Clubs of the Sandhills<br />
Youth of the Year. We are so proud<br />
of Jasmine!<br />
We also honored Linda Schneiter<br />
as our Volunteer of the Year, John<br />
Dempsey as Board Member of the<br />
Year, and Deon Allbrooks as Staff<br />
Member of the Year the same evening.<br />
We are so grateful for all that<br />
Linda, John, and Deon do for our<br />
members and our Club!<br />
Many thanks to April Collins and<br />
the Carolina Philharmonic for<br />
providing beautiful music for the<br />
occasion. Six of our Club members<br />
from our Aberdeen site are<br />
members of the Jr. Orchestra. Our<br />
Youth of the Year Celebration is<br />
truly a highlight of our year!<br />
