ALBERT EINSTEIN -
FOUNDING FATHER
OF THE THEORY OF
RELATIVITY
Prof. Albert Einstein (1879 –1955)
Prof. Albert Einstein was the greatest scientist of the
20th century and perhaps of all times. His contributions
to science became the foundations of modern physics,
and their technological implications are apparent in all
aspects of our daily life. He is known as the founding
father of the theory of relativity, which revolutionized
the concepts of time, space and gravity and is our basis
for understanding the structure and evolution of the
universe. Prof. Einstein won the Nobel Prize for his
contribution to theoretical physics and especially for his
discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect. He is
also one of the founders of the Hebrew University of
Jerusalem.
