Welcome to the tenth edition of We
Love Cars. In this edition it’s hard to
know where to start as we have so
many building projects completed
or almost completed, along with an
onslaught of new models that have
hit or are about to hit the market.
Let’s start with the later. We have just
seen the launch of brand new Audi Q2
model and I think this car is a super-cool
Small SUV (starting at $54,500 +orc)
with brilliant styling. The car looks like
fun and that’s true when you take one
on a drive. This is a great car that you’ll
enjoy driving around town and on the
open road alike. It might be Audi’s small
SUV but it still has the famous Audi feel
of quality you find in the larger ones.
The next car I want to talk about is
from Holden. This is a vehicle that you
may not expect Holden to build. The
Astra (starting from $30,990 + ORC) is
built and designed in Europe so it has
that European styling, feel, quality and it
drives brilliantly too. To put it simply it’s
a European car at Japanese competitors’
prices. If you are in the market for
a hatchback you need to take look at
this car (it is fantastic value for money).
The final car is the new Porsche Panamera.
Whether you love or hate the
previous Panamera, no one could deny
the car had presence. Well guess what,
that’s what I love about the new model.
They have smoothed out all edges and
made the new one much prettier looking,
whilst still maintaining the familiar
presence. The other thing I love about
the new Panamera is the interior; it’s
just so cool with its super wide screen
for the infotainment system. I’m not
going to mention how good the car
performs, after all it’s a Porsche, and
that speaks for itself.
I was also going to talk about all the
other new models that have just arrived
or are arriving, due to fact there
are so many! I’ll talk about them in our
fortnightly email newsletter, Cool Cars
& Great Deals. If I was to name some, it
would have to include the Skoda Kodiaq,
Lexus LS, Range Rover Discovery, Audi
RS5, Bentley Continental Supersports,
Huracan Performante and so many
more.
Moving on, we are very proud to
say that our new Skoda showroom
“Giltrap Skoda” (58 Great South Rd,
Newmarket) has re-opened – it’s the
first in the country to have Skoda’s new
corporate identity. The new showroom
really demonstrates that Skoda is a
brand on the move and this will give
customers even further confidence
of that. Part of this trend is the new
Kodiaq (7-seater) SUV, which is shaking
up mid-size SUV market with a starting
price of $39,990 + ORC.
