What will I learn?<br />
This course develops your craft skills<br />
to work at recognised industrial<br />
standards within this trade area.<br />
You will learn new site carpentry<br />
skills as well as developing those<br />
learnt at Level 1. The college has<br />
close links to local construction<br />
companies, so you’ll also have the<br />
opportunity to take part in valuable<br />
work experience placements<br />
in the commercial world.<br />

What will I learn?<br />
This qualification is designed<br />
for those aiming to become<br />
construction professionals<br />
responsible for building projects<br />
of the future in roles such as an<br />
architect, architectural technologist,<br />
building surveyor or project<br />
manager.<br />
You’ll study a range of subjects<br />
including health and safety and<br />
sustainable construction and have<br />
the option to choose modules. On<br />
completion, you can progress to a<br />
foundation degree or degree or into<br />
employment.<br />

You will study the Design Engineer<br />
Construct (DEC) curriculum which<br />
has been expertly developed<br />
to create and inspire the next<br />
generation of built environment<br />
professionals.<br />
The programme also attracts UCAS<br />
points and is equivalent to A Levels,<br />
allowing progression to university<br />
programmes.<br />
Progress<br />
to an<br />
apprenticeship<br />
or university.<br />
Or, you could progress to our<br />
higher level, paid apprenticeship<br />
in Architectural Engineering<br />
& Management, delivered in<br />
partnership with the PlanBEE<br />
employers.<br />
