Can you describe your work?<br />
Delightful fairies and characters, all original designs<br />
and handmade by Halinka! Each is one of a kind.<br />
What do customers say they like about your products?<br />
My customers are delighted by the magic, the detail of<br />
the work and the colours but mostly by the movement<br />
and individuality of each little character. They say they<br />
make them happy and will be family heirlooms forever!<br />
Have you always been creative and did<br />
you need any specific training?<br />
I have always made things, drawn things, been taught<br />
to sew at the age of five by my very exacting Polish<br />
grand-mother. However, I also went to Art College<br />
where I studied theatre design and subsequently worked<br />
in the theatre all over the world. Very hard to do when<br />
you have children so I invented my own work!<br />
Do you have a typical working day?<br />
I don’t have a typical working day as it depends if I<br />
need to prepare parcels for posting. Sometimes I start<br />
at six in the morning and that always feels like a lot<br />
gets done but other days I start at lunch time and<br />
finish at midnight with a break for cooking! My most<br />
favourite days are when I am designing something<br />
new, I love the balance of colour and shape and maybe<br />
a new sort of character like the reindeer last year.<br />

What’s been your proudest moment so far?<br />
With regard to my work, I guess<br />
doing the Harrods windows<br />
for two years running and my<br />
