Tell us about The Food Analysts<br />
The Food Analysts is a WhatsApp-based human<br />
calorie counting service that helps subscribers<br />
keep track of their daily diet and calorie intake. I<br />
founded the company in May <strong>2017</strong> after years of<br />
following a training programme and monitoring<br />
my calorie intake manually. I completed my studies<br />
in a field quite different to health and fitness,<br />
achieving my Bachelor of Engineering degree in<br />
Aerospace Engineering from City University of<br />
London and then going on to work in finance.<br />
How did you identify a niche in the market?<br />
Over the years, I’ve used many food monitoring<br />
and tracking mobile apps, but always found they<br />
lacked a key element – convenience. I am always<br />
on the go – working late, travelling and eating out<br />
– and don’t have the time or resources to monitor<br />
my calorie intake myself. That is why I developed<br />
The Food Analysts, which tracks calories on behalf<br />
of others through a dedicated team of trained<br />
health professionals. This service is ideal for those<br />
who want to know what they are, and should be,<br />
consuming on a daily basis in order to meet their<br />
nutrition and fitness goals.<br />
What have been your major challenges till date?<br />
Many compare The Food Analysts to other free<br />
calorie monitoring apps. They also question the<br />
details and accuracy of the results based on simply<br />
sending a picture and short explanation of the food.<br />
My team are trained professionals who have been<br />
doing this for months and know elements like<br />
recipes and portion sizes like the back of their<br />
hands. They are hands-on and form a personal<br />
relationship with the client, really getting to know<br />
their food preferences – whether they drink their<br />
coffee with or without sugar, with low fat milk, etc.<br />
Where do you see the brand in the next<br />
five years?<br />
The Food Analysts was developed with the aim of<br />
helping people live a healthier life. While we<br />
already have customers based in a number of<br />
countries – UAE, UK, India and USA, we want to<br />
grow this even further over the next few years and<br />
reach a larger demographic across the world.<br />
Overall, the vision is for us to be a catalyst for<br />
nutritional help on a global scale, and the go-to<br />
service for all your healthy lifestyle needs.<br />
