The venue: AVEDA
(800 Aveda)
The service: Rerooting hair colour with
blow-dry and Moisture therapy treatment
The verdict: Aveda is no stranger to anyone who puts a little
extra effort and care into their hair routine. For those new to
the brand, Aveda – owned by Estée Lauder Companies – is
renowned internationally for their expertise in haircare, using
the art and science of pure flower and plant essences. All
products are plant-based and contain pure essential oils,
making it ideal for salon treatments. When we walked into the
glamorous salon, located at the rooftop of Galleria Mall on Al
Wasl Road, we were stunned by the views of Burj Khalifa –
Insta-worthy from the minute you enter. Not sure what to
expect, I accepted the offer of a hair consultation, to analyse
my hair condition and suggest a treatment suitable to my
personal needs and lifestyle. Before my hair was shampooed
and dried, I was treated to a soothing head-neck-and-shoulder
massage – known as a sensory journey – that almost made me
snooze. Once the root colour was applied and washed off, the
consultant suggested a moisture therapy treatment to treat
dry locks and split ends. This was placed on for around 30
minutes and later washed off. The result, gorgeous soft glossy
locks that were irresistible to touch.
