Palm Bay: The city provides water<br />

and sewer service through its<br />

utilities department. Residents<br />

pay $100 deposit for water, $100<br />

for sewer and a nonrefundable<br />

administrative fee of $18.21.<br />

For an additional $5, the city<br />

will perform a credit check. If a<br />

renter’s credit check is favorable,<br />

the renter will only be responsible<br />

for half the deposit.<br />

If an owner’s credit check is<br />

favorable, the deposit may be<br />

waived.<br />

A $68.80 charge applies for<br />

same-day service.<br />

After three years of excellent<br />

credit, water and sewer deposits<br />

can be refunded.<br />

Life in Brevard<br />

PROVIDED BY WASTE MANAGEMENT INC.<br />

Waste Management Inc. in Brevard County has been converting its<br />

vehicles to run on natural gas. It should help the environment and<br />

save the company money.<br />

Brevard County residents with<br />

curbside service can request a<br />

recycling bin. In Rockledge, 321-<br />

690-3961; Titusville, 321-383-5755.<br />

For all other parts of the county,<br />

Bins must be placed by the curb<br />

before 6 a.m.<br />

The Reusable Resources Adventure<br />

Center accepts items such<br />

as paper, wood, fabric and plastic<br />

to recycle into children’s art projects.<br />
