Brevard Museum of History and
Natural Science: Exhibitions of
historical artifacts from mostly
Brevard County and elsewhere in
Florida. On permanent display are
a mastodon skeleton and a replica
of the famous Windover Dig, which
unearthed 7,000-year-old remains
of prehistoric man. Also features a
nature center with 22 acres of
trails. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Wednesday through Saturday.
Admission is $9; $5 for children;
free for children younger than 4.

museum has rotating exhibitions

month as part of its Jazz Friday
series, where concerts are held

Kennedy Space Center Visitor’s
Complex: Space Shuttle Atlantis
exhibit with more than 60 interactive
exhibits, film and a close-up

U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame:
Currently closed for renovations
and expected to reopen later this
year. It is the world’s largest collection
of personal astronaut
memorabilia, historic spacecraft
and simulator rides. It is included
with regular admission to the KSC
Visitor Complex, which costs $50
for adults and $40 for children
