The idea of a product line that empowered Michelle to better
her health and wellness seemed captivating. “I believed that if I
liked the idea of being in control of my health and helping myself
get better when I’m down with daily ailments, then the people
around me would want this as well.”
Malaysia, Michelle felt, was ripe for the picking. With
unhealthy dietary habits and poor health issues, she realised ours
was a society that appreciated helping ourselves whether through
Internet research or sharing opinions with friends and family.
“I took my health for granted in my early years, much the
same as everyone else, but with age, little ailments become more
frequent,” she explains. “My low immunity, frequent down days
and my husband’s lack of quality sleep, got me to try a Young
Living starter kit and I fell madly in love with Frankincense! It
worked wonderfully for my husband and me, and I knew I had to
share this!”
“Two and half years later, I’m still sharing the goodness of the
oils. It is completely gratifying to have people come back to me
and tell me that the oils worked for them and that their health or
their family’s health has improved so much since using the oils.”
“This was the primary driver for the boom in my Young
Living business,” explains Michelle, an avid animal lover with
three rescued cats. “As the business grew exponentially, I decided
to focus on this full time.”
Michelle started out with Young Living at the end of
2014, and by 2015, she reached her first notable rank at Silver
and progressed to Gold in 2016 and Platinum early this year.
“Currently, I am a Platinum ranked distributor with a team
of almost 3000 people, and I spend most of my time managing
and leading the group with the help of my 19 Silver, Gold and
Platinum leaders. In two years, we have grown so much that the
numbers still astound me, and I am excited to see what 2018 has
in store for us.”
Much as any leader of a large business group structure, the
day involves operational issues, projections, planning, strategies,
brainstorming sessions and plenty of people management, since
she is in the business of people and networking!
“Today, I have achieved my highest income in my career to
date,” she shares enthusiastically. “I have no bosses above me, and
I lead my team with what I firmly believe is best for the business.”
DOING IT DIY STYLE
While driving her business is the mainstay of her daily life, in
the backroom of all the bustling activity is a DIY queen.
“I have always been in love with DIY, and with Young Living,
it opened up a whole new hobby for me,” she enthuses. “I now get to
DIY my skincare, with the same ingredients as the over the counter
skincare products, but without harsh chemicals and using more of
the right ingredients, and at a fraction of what you pay elsewhere!”
“My mum has always been creative, and I inherited her genes
for sure,” she laughs. “She was always into crochet, macrame and
can be deliciously creative in her cooking as well, sometimes
despite the lack of ingredients!”
Michelle feels creativity nourishes her soul and makes her
happy. “With DIY skin care, there is that added satisfaction that
the completed project is a product that is great for the skin, makes
me beautiful and is cost-saving. Now, what is there not to like?”
