Technical and sales staff welcomed guests and talked about all things security over drinks and a hog roast, and the distributor also unveiled its new purpose-built training and demonstration suite. On show are products including Dahua’s range of ANPR, IP and HDCVI cameras, thermal imagery, facial recognition, analytics, panoramic and artificial intelligence products. The suite allows for demonstrations of the various integrated technologies installed around the company’s new HQ, covering CCTV, access control, fire and intruder systems. The room has a full HD video wall, two touch screens and two 4k monitors, all demos being controlled from the centre console. Featuring a retractable wall, the new suite can host a range of events, from such open days to more intimate sales meetings. Oprema MD Matthew Epps said: “Our new purpose-built training and demonstration suite has been designed with our partners front of mind. Our installation partners are welcome Consec day ends in a draw At its annual conference Consec, the Association of Security Consultants are never disappointed by the amusing or pithy speeches by their patrons, and 2017 was no exception. More and more of our customers are recognising the importance and value of undertaking specialist training. Our new facility provides the ideal training environment, allowing a mixture of classroom theory and hands-on practice. We’d like to invite our partners to use this facility to equip their teams with the specialist knowledge and confidence they need to install a wide range of products, allowing them to deliver quality solutions to end users.” One of the visitors, Peter Leonard, APE Fire & Security Ltd, said: “Oprema’s new training and demonstration suite is incredibly impressive. Being able to invite our customers here to demonstrate the types of integrated technologies we’re recommending for their projects, as well as having access to on-site technical team to assist with system design, is a real selling-point and definitely sets them apart from their competition.” p Clockwise from above: the back row at Consec.
