CAFENASIUM UPDATES by Sheryl Roberts
Praise the Lord! God has moved
hearts to give to the
ministry of Lake
Center Christian
School. When I
walked into school
one day, several
individuals committed
additional
funds and we now
have what we need
to order the cafeteria tables. We have
ordered the tables! The timeline we
have been given is 6-8 weeks for
them to arrive.
Please join me in praising the Lord
for the $33,100 that has been raised.
This covers the cost of the tables and
the one-to-one match of the endowment
for this phase of the Cafenasium
project.
What’s Next? We are firming
up quotes to finish the additional
restrooms and complete the kitchen
remodel. We will let you know the
exact totals as soon as we verify these
quotes.
We have had another company
give us a quote on the stage area, and
we are waiting for this number. We
have also applied for a grant. We are
revisiting the quotes on the gym
flooring and the equipment needed
for the gym. This includes additional
quotes on the bleachers.
Items like the shades, sound
panels, and tech needs for sound/
projection are also being finalized.
The goal is to finish the Cafenasium
and have it fully equipped by the start
of the 2018-2019 school year.

Pastor Appreciation
Lake Center Christian School was
excited to host 38 Pastors who attended
our Pastors’ Appreciation
Brunch on Thursday, October 12,
2017, from 8:30 - 10:30 AM at the
Kaufman Center. A special thank
you to Kara Kirkpatrick and her
team of volunteers, the families for
helping us invite their pastors to
the event, and to Terry Shaw and
Marnell Kyser for the delicious
food.
We want to partner with Pastors
who assist our families as part of
our mission statement.
