house! Whahahaha!
Seriously, though, the
community response
was great for 22nd Century
Media’s annual Halloween
contests, which
called for both costumes
and carved pumpkins this
season.
Without further adieu, the
winners are as follows.
• Best Adult Costume-
Scary: Mike and Barb Obrzut,
of Orland Park, for
Frankenstein’s Monster
and Bride of Frankenstein.
They won a gift certificate
valued at $25 for Chesdan’s
Pizzeria & Grille, 15764 S.
Bell Road in Homer Glen,
as well as four 9-hole Rolling
Hills walking passes
from Silver Lake Golf,
14700 S. 82nd Ave. in Orland
Park.
• Best Adult Costume-
Creative: Allison Bitten,
of Lockport, for her homemade
cupcake, topped with
both light-up and red velvet-flavored
sprinkles. She
won a one-hour massage
(valued at $65) from Aura
Bella Salon & Day Spa,
20491 S. LaGrange Road in
Frankfort, as well as a gift
certificate valued at $25 to
Sizzles, 571 E. Division St.
in Lockport.
• Best Children’s Costume:
Grace Weisner, 13, of
Lockport, for her Roy Lichtenstein-inspired
pop art
girl. She won an 11-week
recreational gymnastics session
starting Jan. 22 ($15
registration fee not included)
to Gym-Kinetics Gymnastics,
19220 Ridge Drive
in Mokena, as well as four
unlimited play Power Cards
for Dave & Buster’s, 49
Orland Park Place; and one
free pizza at Nancy’s Pizza,
19803 S. LaGrange Road in
Mokena.
• Best Adult-Crafted
Pumpkin: Ashley Galassini,
19, of Tinley Park, for
a face carved in a pumpkin.
Galassini won two onehour
racquetball/volleyball
passes for Silver Lake Golf,
