CRAFTERS SALE A SUCCESS
I am pleased to announce that this first sale of its kind
did over $1000 in profit for our Thrift Shop. The actual
number is $1265, but I allowed for other linens sold
during the time period of 8/22 through 8/26. Needless
to say, we should be pleased with this wonderful total
that we would not have acquired if we had passed on
all these nice donations made to our shop. And more
importantly, I’m convinced that our sale brought in new
craft devotees who probably bought items from the
other departments plus learned about the Assistance
League Thrift Shop.
Many thanks goes to Joan Underwood, Anne Hoke,
Cynthia Ignizio, Denise Pesek, Lee Pettit, Jonene
Pruitt, Shelly Holliday, and Trudy Rivera for their labors
and support in getting this sale to the floor.
A special thanks go to Trudy Rivera for using some of
her budget to put an ad in the Williamson County Sun
to announce our event. It was confirmed by our
customers that a lot of them had seen the ad in the
paper.
Way to go, Linen Ladies!
