BFA in Acting
(Audition and Interview Required)
The BFA in Acting is an intensive program that prepares
students for acting careers in the professional theatre and
offers education and training in contemporary realistic
acting, period styles, and Shakespeare. Our BFA in Acting
is an atypical 60-credit program. Most conservatory style
BFA programs require 90 credits in theatre and don’t offer
the integrated liberal arts education that Marymount
Manhattan College provides to prepare students for the
wide range of drama presented in the professional theatre.
BFA in Acting majors are exposed to a wide variety of
playwrights and acting styles in the four years of study.
Beginning in the spring semester of the freshman year, BFA
in Acting students audition for main stage productions
presented in the Theresa Lang Theatre and for student
directing projects.
