Christmas Festival
December 2 nd - 8 th - We invite you, your friends and family to our FREE
event located in Historic Downtown Katy. Graciously hosted by Katy Market
Day! This special Christmas market will feature produce, arts and crafts,
antiques, jewelry, gifts, clothes, jewelry, handmade galore, carolers, food,
entertainment and… 50,000 LBS OF SNOW for the kiddos! You can get
your picture taken with Santa too in Harvest Plaza 12-4 PM for only $5! No
Label Brewery will also have their famous BEER GARDEN - open ALL DAY for
everyone to enjoy! Location TBA due to construction. While you are in town
shop our great boutiques, antique and gift shops and enjoy our visiting food

friendly Jingle Tree event, this is your chance to
catch Santa and Mrs. Claus during their holiday
visit to the museum. Enjoy holiday crafts and
the tradition of cookies and milk. Be sure to
bring your camera to snap some candids, too!

Sugar Land Town Square, 15958 City Walk
Enjoy a free holiday photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus! Photos will take place in
the lobby of 16190 City Walk. Since it is the season of giving, we will be collecting
new and unwrapped toys for the Fort Bend Rainbow Room’s Christmas Project. All
donations will go to children and adults referred by caseworkers from TX Dept. of
Family & Protective services. Also, drop your letter to Santa in his mailbox and get a
return letter in the mail for a donation of $5. In order to allow Santa to get back to the
North Pole on time, the last photo will be taken at 5 PM. Please arrive before then to
secure your spot in line. Thank you for understanding during his busiest time of year!

14th Annual Holiday Home Tour
Enjoy the spirit of the holidays by touring the decorated homes in James E.
Taylor High School’s Holiday Home Tour sponsored by Taylor’s Class of 2018
Project Grad. In addition to viewing the beautiful holiday décor, you will also
support Taylor’s Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Project Grad is donating 10%
of all proceeds from the Holiday Home Tour to Harvey impacted families.

Journey to Bethlehem
December 7-10, 2017
Start your journey here, experience the night hope was born. Journey to
Bethlehem is an outdoor, walk-through drama portraying the birth of Christ.
In 2016, nearly 6,000 guests followed the winding trail, led by experienced
guides, through a series of live action scenes, tracing the journey Mary and
Joseph took centuries ago. Your travels will lead you through the village of
Nazareth, into the camp of the Magi, past the Roman census and open-air
markets of Judea, ultimately ending at the simple manger where Christmas
began and hope was born. For the last fifteen years, Current - A Christian
Church has been presenting this event to the Katy community. Each year
the event grows. With live animals and more than 200 actors in costume,
Journey to Bethlehem, is an annual tradition for many and serves to remind
everyone who participates of the true meaning and impact of Christmas.

Christmas Tree Lighting

The steps of City Hall will light up with holiday cheer and entertainment
as Mr. and Mrs. Claus bring their holiday magic to Sugar Land Town
Square. This event is free and open to the public.
The fun will include holiday crafts and activities, face painting,
performances by local artists and choirs, photos with Santa and food and
beverages available for purchase. As the night comes to an end, gather
with family and friends around the spectacular 40-foot Christmas tree
located in the middle of Town Square plaza to help Santa and Mrs. Claus
usher in the holiday season with the annual lighting of the tree.

an evening at the theater, they can look to Encore Players as a source to
enjoy the theater in their own home town without the long commute or
high cost involved with heading to one of downtown Houston’s theaters.
