<strong>December</strong> 1 st - Ring in the season with the 87 th Annual Mayor’s Holiday<br />
Celebration and Tree Lighting in the heart of downtown Houston. The<br />
spectacular event is a holiday tradition of music, Santa, fireworks and<br />
family fun. A towering Holiday Tree, glowing with energy efficient LED<br />
lights, shimmering ornaments and a stunning star topper will light up<br />
the streets of downtown Houston this holiday season. The event takes<br />
place in Hermann Square at City Hall from 6 to 8 PM and is free and open<br />
to the public.<br />
<strong>December</strong> 1 st -2 nd - Rosenberg Christmas Nights. Rosenberg Christmas<br />
Nights is a holiday event with an array of nightly activities to kick off the<br />
holiday season. Visitors can explore downtown Rosenberg’s eclectic shops,<br />
cultural exhibits and restaurants while strolling through the holiday lights.<br />
Weekend events also include the Lighting of the City Christmas Tree, Dinner<br />
Under the Stars, Miss Merry Christmas Pageant and a variety of other family-friendly<br />

<strong>December</strong> 1 st -3 rd - Dickens on the Strand. The annual holiday street festival,<br />
based on 19 th -century Victorian London, features parades, non-stop entertainment<br />
on five stages, strolling carolers, roving musicians, bagpipers, jugglers<br />
and a host of other entertainers. The event will be held at the historic strand<br />

<strong>December</strong> 2 nd - Tamale Festival Houston is held at the Navigation<br />
Esplanade between St. Charles and Delano Streets, at 2600 Navigation,<br />
77003. Street parking is available along curbs and the right-of-way with<br />
limited parking located in area private lots and Guadalupe Plaza Park.<br />

<strong>December</strong> 8 th -9 th - Tomball German Festival &Tomball German<br />
Christmas Market. Come and enjoy the family-friendly ambience -<br />
Gemütlichkeit - of this unique music/street festival with three stages of<br />
live music and an open-air market along with antique shops in the old<br />
town area. Tap your feet to the musical sounds of performers like The<br />
Chardon Polka Band, Chris Rybak, Yodel Blitz, Das Ist Lustig, Tubameisters,<br />
Valina and get into the festive spirit with the sounds of strolling<br />
Christmas carolers. It’s a Texas German celebration at Christmas time<br />
on the old downtown streets of Tomball Texas. An estimated 163 unique<br />
and interesting street vendors will line Market and S. Walnut Streets,<br />
