Changes in ELCAD/AUCOPLAN 7.5.0 - Service Pack 3
In the EDM interface you can configure now if the projects are to be edited with Windows
fonts or with the ELCAD fonts.
Use the following entry in the communication file edm2elc.ini for the font configuration:

UseWindowsFont=1
If 1 is entered her, the Windows fonts are used in project editing, if 0 is entered, the ELCAD
fonts are used.
If nothing is entered here the specifications of the project.ini are used.
2. Priority Rules for Core Colours in Cables without Part Number Configurable (EL-
090611-001)
If a core is debited from a previously created cable without part number and the colour of the
core is to be kept and not replaced by the symbol information of the core symbol of the
drawing, the following switch has to be set:

UseOldCoreFunktionColour=1
When a new cable is created by the evaluation of a core and no part number is specified in the
core symbol the specified core colour of the core symbol can be adopted.
The following switch has to be set:
[Automatic]
UseOldCoreFunktionColourCreate=1
This switch is effective only if the above switch "UseOldCoreFunktionColour" is also set.
These switches should be set preferably in the project.ini file.
3. Terminal Diagram (EL-090806-001)
Creating terminal diagrams via the batch function led to correct results.
However, creating terminal diagrams via the functions TERMINAL DIAGRAM NEW or
TERMINAL DIAGRAM REGENERATE led to incorrect results since the bridges between
the terminals were missing.
4. PRM Converter (EL-090714-002)
The cable information generated from the Promis project was only imported into the ELCAD
project if the user directory was configured as import directory.
5. EDM Interface Extended by the Creation of Intelligent PDF Data (EL-090703-001)
If the option "Enable Navigating / Searching" for the graphic PDF export is activated in the
user settings, this setting is also enabled for the EDM Action "PDF_COMPACT".

Changes in ELCAD/AUCOPLAN 7.5.0 - Service Pack 2
1. Output to PDF (EL-090227-002)
Even if the option "Enable Navigating and Searching" was deactivated, the output to PDF created drawing
elements that were not completely compatible to the long-term archiving format PDF/A-1b.
2. Output to PDF (EL-090309-002)
A PDF file created with the batch action " Output Drawings as Compact PDF File" was not transferred to the
SAP system.
3. Output to PDF (EL-090427-001)
In the output of files to AUCOTECview the option "Intelligent PDF" was not supported anymore in ELCAD
version 7.5.0.
Starting with this Service Pack 2 of version 7.5.0 this function is available again.
4. Terminal Block Designer (EL-090330-001)
If a new terminal was created in the terminal block designer the program crashed.
5. Terminal Block Designer (EL-090430-001)
If one cut a block or a terminal via the context menu of the terminal block designer, exited the designer and
reopened it again, the menu items under INSERT were active. If these menu items were then executed, the
terminal block designer crashed.
6. Use of Windows Fonts in EDM Interface Configurable (EL-090320-001)
You can activate and deactivate the use of Windows fonts via the EDM interface.
Use the following entry in the communication file edm2elc.ini:

UseWindowsFont=1
If 1 is entered the Windows fonts are used.
If 0 is entered or if the switch in not available the specifications of the project.ini file are used.
7. AUCOPLAN Studio (EL-090313-003
The reconstruction of AUCOPLAN Studio projects resulted in wrong entries in the device table if devices in the
projects were present that were not represented.
8. Drawing Editing (EL-090512-001)
Opening drawings with more than 32,500 symbol texts resulted in repeated warnings if some symbol texts had
been, e.g., moved using the VT commands.
9. AUCOPLAN Studio (EL-090514-001)

If devices were renamed, device of other tags with the same names were also renamed if these device had no
location.

Changes in ELCAD/AUCOPLAN 7.5.0 - Service Pack 1
1. Terminal Export (EL-081127-002)
During the creation of a terminal list for the terminal export the master data was sometimes entered wrong into
the terminal list. A subsequent terminal export led to incorrect results.
2. Converting AUCOPLAN Projects (EL-081120-001)
The conversion of AUCOPLAN projects sometimes caused an error message when the INI switch
"NoOnlineInput=" was not present in the section [Location] to be converted in the project.ini file.
3. Editing Symbols (EL-080221-9778)
The selection button [...] next to code 90 was missing in the editing mask of symbols on drawings.
4. Data Transfer from the Master Database (EL-081211-001)
If the data that was to be transferred from a database to a symbol was longer than allowed in symbols an error
message was displayed. This data is now adapted and the error message is not displayed anymore.
5. Changes of Form Attributes Change the Cable Designator (EL-090119-001)
Changes of forms or windows also change the automatic cable designators. In this course the assignments of the
cores to the old cable designator are removed and the cores are then assigned to the new cable designator.
To activate this function, set the following INI switch in the project.ini file:
[Automatic]
CableFrameEditCheckMove=1.
The default setting is 0.
In this course, the following bug was also fixed:
When the greater-than sign > was used in the designation hierarchy redundant parts of the item of the form or the
windows at the symbol, respectively, were not correctly cut, if they had no suitable presign.
6. Input / Output Components (EL-090113-002)
If the assignment list version >=7.3 was used and no operand qualifier was defined, an error message was
displayed under certain conditions upon opening the drawing.
7. Input / Output Components (EL-090113-003)
Opening a drawing in the tree resulted in an error message if one worked with several assignment lists that had
been generated in different languages.
8. Input / Output Components (EL-090108-002)
During the creation of XML files for Beckhoff the Hash character (#) was not removed from the PLC comments.

9. ASCII Backup of Drawings EL-081120-002
During the backup of the drawings a log file "BackupProtocol.txt" is created in the user directory now.
If the program crashes during the backup run, you can find in this log file up to which drawing the program
successfully executed the backup and if other errors were detected.
10. Missing Location in Terminal Diagram and Wiring List (EL-090105-002)
The location of cables was missing in the terminal diagram and in the cable table if the cable management was
activated and if the codes 3 and 365 were configured for the designator creation.
In addition a code 1014 present in the core symbol was erroneously taken into account; however this code must
not be active if the designator creation is activated.
11. Terminal Block Designer (EL-090219-002)
The terminal block designer has been extended. You can now edit terminal macros directly in the terminal block
designer. For this purpose you only have to activate the columns for the terminal macros in the column
configuration.
12. New Code Pages (EL-081111-001)
In the settings under "Drawing / Fonts/Character Sets" you can select further code pages for languages:
737 (Greek), 775 (Baltic), 855 (Cyrillic), 866 (Russian) and the OEM code page from the system settings so that
these characters can now be used in the corresponding language regions.
13. Use of Code Pages not Supported (EL-080410-9828)
If a code page not supported by the system was set in the settings under "Drawing / Fonts/Character Sets", the
program crashed under certain operating systems.
Now a message is displayed that the code page is not supported and is replaced therefore by the system code
page.
14. Use of Code Page ELCAD (437) (EL-081105-002, EL-080627-001)
The characters ø und Ø were not properly converted and were therefore not correctly represented in the masks
and in the drawings if code page ELCAD (437) was used.
15. Windows Fonts (EL-081024-004)
If the option "Use Windows Fonts" was used in the settings under "Drawing / Fonts/Character Sets" the Euro
character (€) was not displayed after the entry of the text "\s207".
The characters \s224 … \s255 are now correctly output to PDF again.
If Windows fonts are configured, the diameter sign Ø of code page 437 (\s237) can now be output as diameter
sign and not as a small phi.
This can be configured in the settings under "Drawing / Fonts/Character Sets".
Since not all Windows fonts contain the diameter sign, you can configure an available substitute character in the
settings.
Useful values are:
8960 Unicode value for DIAMETER SIGN
8709 Unicode value for EMPTY SET (mathematical sign for an empty set)

216 Unicode value for Ø
248 Unicode value for ø
The selected default value is 216.
16. PM&CT Design (EL-090224-001)
If PM&CT elements were copied and automatic numbering of tags was simultaneously used not all of the copied
PM&CT elements were linked with the new tag.
17. Terminal Block Designer (EL-090225-003)
After changes in the terminal block designer the sorting numbers were erroneously created anew.
18. Drawing Editing (EL-090225-004)
If an error occurred during the evaluation of the first terminal of a strip, an access to the database (bmk.kl)
possibly could damage the database under certain circumstances.
