She taught me to be Grateful for<br />
Everything I have. To be grateful for<br />
my warm heart, my good health, my<br />
and even my small statured frame.<br />
She always reminded me that<br />
comparing myself to others or other<br />
situations could be mentally<br />
dangerous and to practice gratitude<br />
every chance I get. Teaching me that<br />
‘we are all different for a reason’<br />
instilled acceptance of my<br />
uniqueness, keeping my focus on<br />
what is important.<br />

Choices. So, things didn't go my way, or<br />
I hit a brick wall, again? I have a choice<br />
to lay there frustrated and Give Up or<br />
Get up! Things are going to happen for<br />
sure, but I Must decide one way or<br />
another. Complaining about it is not<br />
going to resolve the issue, I am.<br />
Finally, she taught me to explore who I<br />
am and to Never give up on myself. To<br />
know that I am never too old to learn<br />
or discover new things and that there is<br />
a huge Journey ahead for me. She<br />
encouraged me to step into life<br />
Without fear, and with a pursuit of<br />
Happiness and Purpose.<br />
