<strong>MBR</strong>: Tell us a little about yourself and what<br />
you like to do outside of work.<br />
AG: I would describe myself as being a very<br />
ambitious and hardworking person, and<br />
somewhat of a perfectionist. I love the world<br />
of IT and founding my own company in this<br />
field is certainly a dream come true.<br />
Outside work, I love to read, workout and<br />
follow my favourite football team, Inter Milan.<br />
<strong>MBR</strong>: What do you find most rewarding<br />
about working with Progressive Information<br />
Systems Ltd?<br />
AG: Definitely the biggest reward is the ability<br />
to interact and work closely with a diverse<br />
portfolio of clients operating in various<br />
industries. Keeping tabs with what is going<br />
on around you plus getting to see so many<br />
different processes and workflows, opens up<br />
your horizons, and in turn helps you guide<br />
your clients on best practices.<br />
<strong>MBR</strong>: What does Malta's Best-in-Business<br />
Software & Web Development Company of<br />
the Year Award recognition mean to you?<br />
AG: The business software solutions we<br />
develop support local businesses in their<br />
day to day operations at various levels. Most<br />
applications integrate fully with the off the<br />
shelf software solutions we implement here<br />
in Malta, most notably those originating from<br />
Sage and Lightspeed. This award is very big<br />
prestigious for our organisation and rewards<br />
our constant efforts in providing the most<br />
effective and efficient information systems to<br />
best suit the needs of our clients and to help<br />
them unleash their true business potential.<br />
<strong>MBR</strong>: What is your leadership style and<br />
what motivates you?<br />
AG: In the organisational decision making<br />
process, I like to get the rest of my team<br />
directly involved. I believe that this really helps<br />
to come up with the best and most creative<br />
ideas and solutions, whilst at the same time<br />
ensuring that everyone has a strong sense of<br />
ownership in the decision taken. Naturally,<br />
the thing which motivates me the most is<br />
when a client makes big operational wins<br />
thanks to our solutions and actively refers us<br />
to others. That is the best certificate for our<br />
work and gives so much motivation to work<br />
harder and to strive for more.<br />
<strong>MBR</strong>: What is your key to success?<br />
AG: I would say that the most important key<br />
to business success is to do what you love<br />
and what you are passionate about. Secondly,<br />
surrounding yourself by good people who<br />
have the right base skills and are enthusiastic<br />
about their work is imperative. Focusing<br />
on the needs and wants of your clientele,<br />
perseverance and constant innovation are<br />
also major contributors to a successful<br />
