Turquoise international limited Top tips for clean energy fundraising Ian Thomas Turquoise International Limited Write a business plan: most investors expect to see one and if you can’t articulate the business vision, strategy and milestones then there’s a problem Hire an experienced adviser: they will anticipate the investors’ view of your business, help you to improve the investment proposition and provide access to sources of capital Fill the gaps: if there are identifiable weaknesses in the business – lack of depth in the management team being a common issue – at a minimum there needs to be a credible plan to address them Be realistic about valuation: take into account market conditions, accept that investors have return requirements and remember that management/founders will always have the most optimistic view of the business adVerTorial Turquoise International (Turquoise) is a specialist merchant bank for energy and the environment.
