Fire Brigade in the aftermath<br />
of the tsunami siren debacle when<br />
the Kaikoura quake struck has put<br />
some timely structure into a fairly<br />
fragmented plan.<br />
Kudos to the Sumner fire team<br />
for organising the meeting and<br />
pulling all of the interested parties<br />
together.<br />
In the event of a big quake in<br />
South America, we’ll be fine, as<br />
there is plenty of time to determine<br />
if a tsunami is coming.<br />
If a big quake hits off our shore<br />
we will have 10min at the most<br />
