Stage Challenge <strong>2016</strong><br />

SOUTHERN VIEW<br />

Schools lit up the stage last week at the annual Stage<br />

Challenge and J Rock events. Cashmere High School placed<br />

third in the Stage Challenge open division and won excellence<br />

awards for concept, soundtrack, choreography, performance<br />

skill, stage use and costuming character. Hillmorton High<br />

School won various awards of excellence in the Stage<br />

Challenge and J Rock. St Martins School won J Rock excellence<br />

awards for stage use, costuming character and soundtrack.<br />

I SPY: Hillmorton High School’s performance was a clever<br />

reminder that every move made on the internet is being<br />

watched by someone.<br />

CREATIVE: St Bede’s College entered iWall which took home both the Ministry of<br />

Education Award of Excellence for Concept and the Ministry of Youth Development<br />

Award of Excellence for Drama.<br />
