For more than 10 years, Flags Tyres<br />
in Wigram has been providing not only<br />
tyres, but also brake and shock absorber<br />
fitting and repairs for customers across the<br />
Wigram/Hornby area.<br />
Now, thanks to the recently opened<br />
extension to Vickerys Road, the business is<br />
much more accessible and is the closest tyre<br />
shop for the thousands of residents in the<br />
rapidly expanding Halswell area and the<br />
new Wigram Skies sub-division.<br />
“We are excited to have the opportunity<br />
to do business with people living in these<br />
new residential areas, and are very pleased<br />
that the new infrastructure means we can<br />
be reached in just a minute or so’s drive<br />
from the Wigram Skies shopping mall,” says<br />
business owner Dougal.<br />
Located on the corner of Pilkington Way<br />
and Hayton Road, right on the doorstep of<br />
the Wigram Business Hub, Flags Tyres has<br />
over 2000 tyres in stock, ranging from high<br />
performance tyres to quality new and used<br />
tyres for personal vehicles. They can provide<br />
tyres for most vehicles most of the time and<br />
at competitive prices, Dougal says, while the<br />
modern workshop’s equipment includes a<br />
state-of the-art wheel alignment machine.<br />
Manager Ted Cholmondley heads a team<br />
of fully trained, friendly staff, who provide<br />
everything from WOFs and oil changes<br />
through to brake repairs and shock absorber<br />
replacement for all types of vehicle.<br />
“It starts with WOF, we do a lot of those,<br />
and we take it from there depending on<br />
what’s required,” Dougal says.<br />
One of their specialties is WOFs for<br />
trailers, with the large parking area making<br />
it easy for trailers to be moved around and<br />
tested.<br />
As well as enjoying the friendly,<br />
helpful service from Ted and his team,<br />
customers have the benefit of a comfortable<br />
waiting room with a separate customer<br />
toilet. And for work that will take longer,<br />
there are courtesy cars available.<br />

looked after with courtesy and a friendly<br />
