FOLLOWING on from their amazing concert in<br />
April, the Christchurch branch StarJam is<br />
gearing up for another spectacular concert.<br />
Taking place at Haeata Community Campus on<br />
Breezes Rd this Sunday evening, the concert is<br />
showcase of the year’s work.<br />
StarJam is an award winning non-profit<br />
national organisation that empowers youth<br />
with disabilities through music and<br />
performance workshops.<br />
One in five New Zealanders is living with a<br />
disability. at means approximately 150,000<br />
young people with disabilities are facing<br />
considerable barriers in their lives. StarJam<br />
believes this is something that can be changed.<br />
rough music and performance workshops,<br />
StarJam reaches many of these young New<br />
Zealanders and provides opportunities for them<br />
to explore their talents, gain new skills and<br />
build confidence to try new things. For many,<br />
StarJam has been a life-transforming<br />
experience.<br />

StarJam, hundreds of young people with<br />
disabilities are empowered, supported, extended<br />
and welcomed into a space where the focus is<br />
always on what you can achieve, not what you<br />
can’t.<br />
e <strong>2017</strong> End of Year Concert, is the<br />
culmination of a year's worth of efforts from<br />
StarJam’s young people.<br />
“Prepare to be swept up in an evening filled<br />
with sensational singing, dazzling dancing,<br />
dynamic drumming and masterful musical<br />
mash-ups,” said Jo, Casey, coordinator. “A<br />
StarJam show never fails to entertain, inspire,<br />
and surprise. Come along and support our<br />
young people – it’s an evening for the whole<br />
family.”<br />
ere is a pre-concert Community BBQ<br />
starting at 6.00pm. Concert doors open from<br />
6.30pm. Concert begins 7pm.<br />
Bring cash to enter the raffle for some<br />
wonderful prizes.<br />
Proceeds from this event will be donated to<br />
the StarJam Charitable Trust.<br />
