AVON-OTAKARO NETWORK
WALKING TOUR
The Avon-Otakaro Network and
CoCA invite you to join them
on a free public talk and walking
tour around the Avon River. The
walk will start in the eastern
reaches of the city with a resting
place halfway through where light
refreshments will be provided.
The two and a half hour tour will
include a walk around the red
zone, discussing the landscape
being traversed and the role of
the Avon-Ōtākaro Network.
Remember to wear comfortable
clothing and walking shoes for
the event. The tour is limited to
a maximum of 50 guests and
you can register via CoCA. If it’s
wet, the event will take place on
Sunday.

A group of artists, based in
Christchurch, have been creating
mosaics for several years
between them. Art in Pieces
is their first public exhibition
as the Christchurch Mosaic
Community. They aim to give
the viewer an insight into the
world of mosaics as an art form,
as well as the more well-known
craft form. Each mosaicist has
their own unique style and uses
many different materials to
accentuate their passion for this
creative expression. Entry to this
exhibition is free, with many
pieces for sale.
