Runway show for Ronald McDonald House
KIWI FASHION celebrities and
some special models will hit
the catwalk next month to raise
money for Ronald McDonald
House.
The M Factor Fashion Show
for Ronald McDonald House
will bring together New Zealand
designers to raise money for the
charity.
It will take place at The
Foundry on April 1 at 7pm.
Ronald McDonald House provides
a place where families can
stay for free while their children
receive medical treatment.
The family-friendly fashion
show will see collections from
the likes of Andrea Moore,
Augustine, Annah Stretton
and more, including children’s
clothing labels.
It is not just your average
fashion show, as the models
include families who stay at
Ronald McDonald House.
Last year, Tasja and Pyper
Murphy, of Greymouth,
modelled in the fashion show.
Tasja was diagnosed with a
brain tumour in 2013, and the
Murphy family have stayed
at Ronald McDonald House
since then when she receives
treatment.
After the success of last year’s
show, Maree Harris, owner and
events organiser at M Factor
Events, is looking forward to
bringing more glitz, glamour
and fashion to this year’s runway.
It is a charity close to Ms
Harris’ heart, as her twin nieces
and family spent two months
staying at Ronald McDonald
House.
“It’s a really special charity to
me, which is why I am so excited
to use my passion to support
such an incredible cause.”

South Island chief executive
Matthew Mark said it always
amazed him how Kiwis rallied
to support other families during
what was often described as
the toughest period of their
lives.
“Last year, over 627 families
from across the South Island
stayed at Ronald McDonald
House South Island, and because
we receive no direct Government
funding we rely on community
support.”

Tickets are available at
ticketmaster.co.nz and are priced
at $75 for VIP, $55 for general
admission and $30 for children
and students.
Funds raised from this event
will go towards taking care of the
Kiwi families who walk through
the doors of a Ronald McDonald
House each year.
