CHRISTMAS YARD OF THE MONTH DECORATING CONTEST WINNERS
Wow! This year we had a great time with our annual Christmas Holiday Yard contest. For the first time instead of
letting one or two Board members make the decision we passed it on to you, our residents. The Board judges made
an initial selection of the ten, which they considered to be most deserving of recognition. From these, all residents
who had registered their emails on our website and were therefore on our emailing list were invited to select which
one they viewed as having the best display. The yard that received the most votes was recognized as taking first
place with the two runners up taking second and third places.
And what a great response we had! As a result of the enthusiasm for this vote many residents who were not previously
on our mailing list decided to register, which has resulted in our list now passing the 600 mark. And of all those on

narrow margin so their home took first place
These three homes had the corresponding award signs placed in their yard where they will remain
throughout the month.
But let’s not forget the remaining seven that made the initial list. These were:

And we hope that the residents who made an effort but didn’t make the list will not feel discouraged. Let’s
remember that the reason for the Christmas displays is to celebrate the birth of Christ and everyone who
put out lights and decorations should feel pride in having made the effort. The contest is just a fun way to
help celebrate the season and hopefully will encourage even more of us to join in the celebration next year!
The Board was delighted with the response and thanks all who participated in this fun event and hopes that
you and your families enjoyed being able to have your voice heard in the selection of this year’s winners.
