The instructor will incorporate simple dance exercises, stretches, and easy routines while helping to emphasize awareness and creativity in a fun-loving, nurturing environment. Ellis Lifeguard Certification / Swim Ellis & Associates Lifeguarding Course Sunday, Friday & Saturday Y member rate: $175 Y non-member rate: $225 Prerequisites: swim 200 yards (8 lengths); tread water for 2 minutes without using your hands; perform feet first surface dive to lift a 10-pound brick off the bottom of the pool. Upon 100 percent attendance and successful completion of water skills and written exam, participants receive a 1-year certification in Ellis and Associates Lifeguarding. Must possess a valid email address. Upon successful completion of water skills and written exam, participants receive a 1-year re-certification in Ellis & Associates Lifeguarding. Re-certification includes First Aid, Adult, Child and Infant CPR, Oxygen Administration and AED. No refunds regardless of passing or failing the course.
