Their Love Story:
John and Pam didn’t “go steady” during the
two years they shared at GCA. They were
matched up by a computer date (in those
early days of computers!) John and Pam
helped the computer out by syncing up their
answers before they turned them in!

Where They Are Now:
John is president of Walla Walla University in
College Place, WA where Pam serves as an
event planner for the University. Their son
and his wife, Marshall & Natashia McVay,
serve as pastors in the Upper Columbia
Conference and their daughter, Macy McVay,
is a pastor in the Oregon Conference.

Wife: Becky (Riggs) Lau, ‘07
Wedding Date: June 26, 2011
Their Love Story:
It took Chris nearly four full years of being classmates
with Becky to finally come to his senses. Becky gave him
a little nudge by asking him to the Valentine’s banquet
their senior year. It was then that Chris realized what
he’d been missing. Under a beautiful starry sky during a
mission trip to Belize, Chris finally made the move that
started the beginning of a wonderful future with Becky.
Chris and Becky feel that GCA provided the catalyst
for both of them to grow in knowledge, wisdom, and in
Christ. They are eternally grateful for all that its faculty
and supporters have done for them.

Where They Are Now:
Chris and Becky live in Rochester, Minnesota, where

they both work at the Mayo Clinic. Chris is an internal
management engineering consultant and Becky is an RN in the orthopedic operating room. Outside of work, they spend
their time traveling and cooking together.
