Despite the rapid
decrease in women
participation in politics in Nigeria
in the present political
dispensation, one of the
Amazons, who is passionate
about turning things around in
the next election year, is the legal
Aare Adams said the promotion
of Yoruba culture and unity of
Yoruba race will continue to be
his priority. He said he will
continue to promote and sustain
the identity of the Yoruba race
as well as harness the potential
of Yoruba nation and Yoruba in
the diaspora.
The event was graced by top
Yoruba personalities and royal
fathers. The event was spiced
with superlative performance
from King Saheed Osupa, Dele
Gold, Chief Sulaimon Ayilara
others.
Saheed Adelanwa’s ‘Change for Africa’ plans
mother of all debate
By Oba Michael Soyebo
2019 elections might still be
some few months away but the
political landscape is already a
beehive of activities as different
political platforms strategize on
their game plans. Interestingly,
a forward-thinking non
governmental organisation,
established with the mission of
abolishing religion and ethnicity
Bimbo Lanre-Balogun’s
political strides
luminary par excellence, Barrister
Bimbo Lanre-Balogun. The wellread
grass-rooted politician has
undoubtedly carved a niche
for herself in the South-
Western political space,
as she took a bold step
of dumping the Gov.
A m o s u n
administration, where
she was a Special
Adviser to pursue her
State Assembly
legislative ambition. Recall that she
is one of the very few fearless
female politicians who participated
in the struggle to return the
progressives to power in Ogun
state, after her major efforts under
the then Action Congress. She had
since risen from a party member
to one of the staunch shot callers,
who shaped and endeared the
in electing African leaders who can
position the continent as the
leading giant of the world, is set to
light up the Nigerian political
space with a debate that can best
described as mother of all debates.
According to the founder of
Change for Africa foundation,
Saheed Adelanwa “his team is
leaving no stone unturned to bring
back the essentials of a healthy
political society by providing a
credible platform for candidates to
showcase their agendas when
elected”. The foundation reputed
for its integrity and unbiased
operations in the build up to the
2015 elections is more committed
to the Nigerian project.
In its efforts to enhance a better
Nigerian society, the foundation
had commenced consultation with
traditional rulers from different
zones in other to achieve the
purpose of helping to channel the
necessary energy in line with
putting qualitative leadership in
place.
party to the people in Ogun
state. The legal doyen has now
become an item in Ogun state
politics ever since she became
a mouthpiece for women who
want to pursue adventurous
ambition in politics but are
limited, due to the paucity of
funds. Her women
empowerment programme in
Obafemi /Owode has
expanded into a big political
force, with the aim of giving
hopes to women, who are
interested in contesting political
positions. At her last event, she
explained that women must
learn to break away from any
form of political limitation and
get involved in politics by
registering with a grassroots
party, in order to rise to the top.
On the exciting line up of
events is a mega concert that
will parade international acts
and Nigerian artistes. The idea
behind the concert is to draw
the attention of the young
population on the importance
of getting involved in politics.
the horizon of the bank as GTBank is no longer
just a bank, but has become a formidable institution
generation of young African
Christian leaders to action against
corrupt leaders, U.S based Nigerian
author, Toks Ero has launched a new
book titled “God’s Vision and purpose
for Africa”. The book contains a mix
of revelations, prophecy, inspiration
and instructions, revealing God’s
agenda for the continent. It also
contains some warnings to political
leaders, Christian leaders and heads
of churches, while providing
glory of the new addition to the family.
The woman after Iyiegbu’s heart - his
number one support system and wife,
we gathered was delivered of a baby
and both mother and child are in
super condition.
For those who don’t know, Obinna
Iyiegbu is one of Nigeria’s pride in
the entertainment cum hospitality
sector. He is a top businessman of
international repute. Though, a low
key personality who loves to stay in
the background but like a golden fish,
he is always in the news for great
things. And his massive investments
in the entertainment sector clears any
doubt about his business status.
Iyiegbu has built a strong brand for
himself and currently has business
interests in major Nigerian cities like
Abuja, Owerri and recently launched
the rave of the moment Cubana
Lagos on Adeola Odeku, in Victoria
Island, Lagos. A classy modest
naming is on the way to welcome the
arrival of his new bundle of joy and it
is expected to be an occasion of class
and thanksgiving.
Toks oks Ero makes es star
artling revelations in new book
•Toks
who is a prophetic voice with
a strong bias for constructive
and critical agreement of
church and political
leadership, argues that there
is an underlining scheme to
turn Nigeria and Africa at
large into a Muslim state.
The book which he started
writing in December 2016,
contains warning to the
present political leaders, to
of death, debilitation illnesses,
and so on. And also some to
