CHURCH SERVICES and NEWS from ST.EATA'S, ATCHAM<br />

There will be a Service with Holy Communion every Sunday<br />

at 11am.<br />

Easter Day Sunday 1st <strong>Apr</strong>il - Service of Holy Communion at<br />

11am.<br />

Longnor Hall open afternoon - Sunday 20th <strong>May</strong> from 2pm.<br />

to 5pm.<br />

The proceeds from the Tea Room are kindly donated to<br />

St.Eata's Church.<br />

The cakes are legendary so please call in for tea/coffee, chat and much more.<br />

Ducks will be on sale in advance of the Duck Race at the Church Fete on Sunday 1st July.<br />

Annual Parochial Church Meeting will be held at The Mytton & Mermaid Hotel on Monday 30th <strong>Apr</strong>il<br />

at 7.30pm. when all aspects of Church life will be discussed - all welcome.<br />

Food Bank - a box is provided in Church on the last Sunday of each month. All donations very<br />

welcome.<br />

Church Car Park and Drive - This was in very poor condition during the winter. During the week-end<br />

of 9th/10th March a team of volunteers laid a new surface of gravel. Many thanks to all the folk<br />

who helped including volunteers from Attingham Park. This is a big improvement which will be<br />

appreciated by all.<br />

Whist Drive Saturday 7th <strong>Apr</strong>il - in The Malthouse at 7pm. in aid of Church funds. For more<br />

information please call Tricia on 761006. Cost £4.<br />

Dog fouling in the Churchyard has become a major problem. Dog mess is dangerous as it contains a<br />

parasite which if picked up by humans especially children can cause major health problems including<br />

blindness.<br />

Death of Ken Barrett - Ken's funeral took place at St.Eata's on Wednesday 14th March. Ken was<br />

born in London, a child during the Blitz, worked in Fleet Street and moved to Shropshire in 1987. He<br />

and his wife Mary were members of the congregation for many years.. Rest eternal grant unto him,<br />

O Lord, and let light perpetual shine upon him. Our deepest sympathy to Mary, daughter Teresa and<br />

all the family.<br />
