The BIRNS Aquila, model 5748, is the industry’s most advanced, compact underwater low
voltage multi-use light. It’s packed with innovative features like a low profile Ø60mm housing,
four conduit channels that enhance water flow across the lens and specially engineered cooling
fins to help sink heat into the water. It has a non-browning crystal lens, immediate tool-free
relamping, a 60° beam, wire-free construction, and powerful, depth-piercing 3000 K white light.
Mates to CEF2S power cable assembly, and has an ergonomically-designed compact mounting diameter, with a coarse diamond knurled surface for easy hand gripping or
positioning on a mounting bracket. Choose low-voltage lamps of select wattages from 20 W to 340 W.
Applications:
The low-voltage Aquila is powerfully versatile, and may be used by divers, on cameras, and
ROVs. It is available with choice of 25 to 360-watt lamp and is an excellent light for color or
black and white filming and video, and for general-purpose underwater illumination. This
powerfully versatile system is ideal for video cameras and manipulator arms.

The BIRNS Aquila-LED, model 5748-LED provides intense LED illumination focused on the job at hand, in the water and out. This is the ultimate low voltage underwater multiuse
light – effectively piercing the depths with a potent 6500K brilliance in a compact, lightweight silhouette that can be seamlessly customized to fit a wide range of uses. Part
of BIRNS’ acclaimed new “L” series, this powerful LED light delivers high performance under pressure with a small, yet powerful design. Its vivid 240 lumen LED lamp is rated
at 50,000 hours and operates on 12V AC/DC and consumes a mere 4 watts, and is RoHS compliant. It weighs in at a mere 209 g (10.5 oz.) in air, or 64 g (2.3 oz.) in water,
and features a Ø60 mm (Ø2.4”) housing with a brilliant, 60° beam. Its wire-free construction combines advanced design characteristics with a streamlined 97 mm (3.8”) profile
that makes it simple to relamp – just 30 seconds, with no tools needed.
