DIY CAR MAINTENANCE
When was the last time you serviced your car ON YOUR OWN? Our
pretty four wheels deserve attention, too and this means more than
just a car wash. Here are a few tune-up tips you can do on your own:
1. Air filter - You need a new air filter for your car every 12 months or
12,000 miles, whichever comes first. You can pay a mechanic and give
up your car for a day or you can replace your air filter at home in about
ten minutes.
2. Windshield Wipers - You’ll need new wiper blades after about
six months or a year of use. You shouldn’t deal with the danger of
streaking while you put off an inconvenient trip to the auto shop.
3. Oil and filter - Experts say you should change your oil every 3,000
miles, but with better products and cars operating more efficiently,
you can get away with changing it every 5,000 miles. Whichever
benchmark you decide to use, you can save time and money by
handling the change yourself.
4. Battery maintenance - if you’ve had the same battery for a few
years, pop your hood every few months and take a look at the battery
to see if it needs a simple cleaning.

If you are between 12 and 18 and would like to be added to the teenage

krenekprinting.com, click submissions and choose Jobseekers)
with your name, birthdate (mo. & yr.), phone number, year you will
graduate and the name of your newsletter/subdivision. Check the
list of jobs you want on your form. Please make sure your email is
correct, we send emails in the summer to make sure all the info is
still good and that you want to stay on the list. If we do not hear
back from you after 3 tries, we will remove you from the list until
we do. Must have parent(s) permission.
